Having Tantrums

Dear Ambitious Woman of Faith. As an Ambitious Woman of Faith, we are living our lives by faith and not by sight. We are standing firm on the promises of God for our lives. This faith journey is not easy, but the experiences are mindblowing. We never know when God will open the next door of opportunity, especially when it’s least expected. In moments like these, we tend to forget the pain we were experiencing while enjoying our blessings. The process from pain to pleasure, in many ways, is needed. Needed for us to grow beyond where we were to where we are now. 

I have great faith in my life now, but I didn’t always. Does my faith sway in emotional circumstances? Yes, but because I found my anchor in God, I’m firmly rooted. I fuss like a child now and then when I think something is taking too long to manifest in my life. I’m like, “God, come on now. I did the work. I have faith. I know I am capable. I need that money right now.” Like a child, my tantrums last maybe a few hours, or even days, until a moment of peace covers me. I exhale, remembering I have but so much control, and God has all control. So I tell myself, Get it together and keep moving.

So, my dear sister in the Faith, know that God is always there. He desires that we all come to him in every single situation. He wants to hear it all: the tears, the complaints, the tantrums, the ups and the downs. Go to God with everything. He will give you what you need to take the next step into the future prepared for you.
