You Have A Purpose

Dear Ambitious Woman of Faith, you have purpose, we all have purpose. All purposes have varying levels, but all are important for the task aligned with your gift, talents, and abilities. No one is exempt from purpose; everyone is required to take part in it. It is in our DNA; it is our birthright.
To unlock your purpose, you need to seek God in prayer and investigate the beautiful body you have. What are you capable of doing? Have you opened your gifts? Have you tried using your talents? Are there talents you didn’t realize you have? Have you put in the work to sharpen your skills, talents, and abilities? If not, then how will you know what you were created to do? How will you align your life with purpose if you don’t even know what you have?

Many of us are under the misconception that purpose comes in one form and that it is only to serve oneself, not others. The funny thing is, many times the purpose you hold is actually of great benefit to someone else, and not you. A doctor serves a purpose by using her gift. Her purpose serves a greater need for those she serves more than it serves herself. We are living with purpose.
Here are a few moments in scriptures where purpose can be seen:
Naaman's servant girl: This young, unnamed Israelite slave girl was captured during a raid and served Naaman, a Syrian army commander with leprosy. From her humble position, she spoke a few words that changed his life by telling him about the prophet Elisha, who could heal him. Her faith led to Naaman's miraculous healing and conversion.
The Hebrew Midwives (Shipprah and Puah): These two midwives defied the pharaoh's order to kill all newborn Hebrew boys. By fearing God rather than the king, they saved the lives of countless babies, including Moses, thereby ensuring Israel's future.
Esther's purpose was to save the Jewish people from a plot to exterminate them while they were living in exile in Persia.
Joseph's purpose was to preserve his family by becoming a powerful leader in Egypt.
David was chosen by God to be a righteous king of Israel.
Jonah, a reluctant prophet, had the purpose to deliver a message of repentance to the wicked people of Nineveh.
There are many more instances in Scripture where purpose can be seen. I am sure you can look back over your life and see purpose more clearly now. The people God placed in your life for a season, or someone who showed up at the right time. Purpose is all around us, easily ignored, often overlooked.
Don’t wait for someone to say, “You have Purpose” because you were born with purpose. You are a living, breathing, purpose-filled being with unlimited possibilities. Take hold of God’s promises for your life and what your purpose unfolds.
